Sun Erniang - Campaigns and Death

Campaigns and Death

Sun Erniang becomes one of the scout leaders of Liangshan after the Grand Assembly and stationed in the tavern west of Liangshan. She is tasked with making preparations to receive the imperial envoy from the emperor, who grants the outlaws amnesty. Subsequently, she follows the heroes on their campaigns against the Liao invaders and rebel forces. She is killed in the battle of Qingxi County by the enemy general Du Wei during the Fang La campaign, who threw his flying daggers at her. She is posthumously granted the honorific title of "Lady of Jingde Prefecture" (旌德郡君) by the emperor in recognition of her contributions to the nation during the campaigns.

Famous quotes containing the words campaigns and/or death:

That food has always been, and will continue to be, the basis for one of our greater snobbisms does not explain the fact that the attitude toward the food choice of others is becoming more and more heatedly exclusive until it may well turn into one of those forms of bigotry against which gallant little committees are constantly planning campaigns in the cause of justice and decency.
    Cornelia Otis Skinner (1901–1979)

No man is an island entire of itself; every man is a piece of the Continent, a part of the main.... Any man’s death diminishes me because I am involved in Mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.
    John Donne (c. 1572–1631)
