Famous quotes containing the words life and, life and/or work:

The feeling of being hurried is not usually the result of living a full life and having no time. It is on the contrary born of a vague fear that we are wasting our life. When we do not do the one thing we ought to do, we have no time for anything else—we are the busiest people in the world.
    Eric Hoffer (1902–1983)

You find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London. No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.
    Samuel Johnson (1709–1784)

Our kids will develop a work ethic only if we require them to pay a portion of the cost of some of the things they want. Fred G. Gosman (20th century)
