Davis has been developing a constructed language called Is for many years. Among its unique characteristics are that words are "conjugated in altitudes," or levels of consciousness (Davis gives the example that a 3-year old's conception of God probably looks much different than Huston Smith's), and that to avoid certain inherent binary limitations words can point in many different directions to change their meaning. There are currently over 10,000 words in its lexicon.
