Academics

In 2005, Streamwood had an average composite ACT score of 19.0, and graduated 87.9% of its senior class. The average class size is 28.925. Streamwood has not made Adequate Yearly Progress on the Prairie State Achievement Examinations, a statewide test part of the No Child Left Behind Act. Streamwood is also home to the World Languages and International Studies academy. Students in the WLIS Academy can choose to learn either Spanish or Japanese, and during the summer between their Junior and Senior years have the opportunity to visit as a class Spain or Japan, respectively.
