Stepping Stone (Duffy Song)
"Stepping Stone" is the fourth single by Duffy from her debut album Rockferry. The single was officially released as both a digital download and CD single on 1 September 2008 in the United Kingdom. Although it followed the massive success of previous singles "Mercy" and "Warwick Avenue", it did not perform well in worldwide music charts. However, the single received widespread acclaim.

Famous quotes containing the words stepping and/or stone:
“There arent any good, brave causes left. If the big bang does come, and we all get killed off, it wont be in aid of the old-fashioned grand design. Itll just be for the Brave New-nothing-very-much-thank-you. About as pointless and inglorious as stepping in front of a bus. No, theres nothing left for it, me boy, but to let yourself be butchered by the women.”
—John Osborne (19291994)
“It is not quite the same when we are seventy-two as when we are twenty-seven; still I am glad of what is left, and wish we might both hold out till the victory we have sought is won, but all the same the victory is coming. In the aftertime the world will be the better for it.”
—Lucy Stone (18181893)
