State (computer Science)
In computer science and automata theory, the state of a digital logic circuit or computer program is a technical term for all the stored information, at a given point in time, which the circuit or program has access to. The output of a digital circuit or computer program at any time is completely determined by its current inputs and its state.

Famous quotes containing the word state:
“The structure was designed by an old sea captain who believed that the world would end in a flood. He built a home in the traditional shape of the Ark, inverted, with the roof forming the hull of the proposed vessel. The builder expected that the deluge would cause the house to topple and then reverse itself, floating away on its roof until it should land on some new Ararat.”
