Starr Manning

Starr Manning is a fictional character from the ABC Daytime soap opera One Life to Live. Born on screen on January 8, 1996, the role has been portrayed by several child actors. In the spring 1998, the character of Starr was rapidly aged re-establishing her birth year as 1992 when Kristen Alderson stepped into the role. Following OLTL's cancellation, Alderson carried the role over to ABC's last remaining soap, General Hospital.

Starr is the oldest child of supercouple Todd Manning and Blair Cramer. Starr and younger brother, Jack, are the only two characters biologically related to longtime OLTL rivals Victoria Lord and Dr. Dorian Cramer Lord. The character's most significant storylines featured her dealing with her parents' volatile relationship, her early adolescent friendship with Matthew Buchanan, portrayed by Alderson's real-life brother, Eddie and her close friendship with Langston Wilde, as well as her romantic relationships with Cole Thornhart, James Ford and Michael Corinthos.

Famous quotes containing the word manning:

The charming landscape which I saw this morning is indubitably made up of some twenty or thirty farms. Miller owns this field, Locke that, and Manning the woodland beyond. But none of them owns the landscape. There is property in the horizon which no man has but he whose eye can integrate all parts, that is, the poet. This is the best part of these men’s farms, yet to this their warranty-deeds give no title.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
