“The Spacious Firmament on high,
With all the blue Ethereal Sky,
And spangled Heav’ns, a Shining Frame,

Does his Creator’s Pow’r display,
And publishes to every Land
The Work of an Almighty Hand.”
—Joseph Addison (1672–1719)

—Salman Rushdie (b. 1948)
“...feminism differs from reform of any kind, even franchise reform. Feminists, I should say, are not reformers at all, but rather intellectual biologists and psychologists.”
—Rheta Childe Dorr (1866–1948)
