St. Peter's Preparatory School
Saint Peter's Preparatory School (called "Prep") is a private all-male Jesuit college-preparatory school located in Jersey City, New Jersey. Located within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark, the Society of Jesus founded the school in 1872 and today the school is operated as part of the Jesuits' New York Province. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Secondary Schools since 1930.
Students are enrolled from counties in Central and Northern New Jersey, as well as from nearby New York City. The school has a faculty of 72, which is made up of 10 Jesuits, 62 lay teachers, plus six counselors, including three college placement counselors. Tuition and fees for the 2011-12 school year is $12,250.
As of the 2011-12 school year, the school had an enrollment of 950 students and 65 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.4.
