News of Closure

The HSE announced at the start of March 2010 that all Victorian "asylum" era hospitals in Ireland would be closed by 2012.

Famous quotes containing the words news of and/or news:

    Word of gloom from the war, one day;
    Johnston pressed at the front, they say.
    Little Giffen was up and away;
    A tear—his first—as he bade good-by,
    Dimmed the glint of his steel-blue eye.
    “I’ll write, if spared!” There was news of the fight;
    But none of Giffen.—He did not write.
    Francis Orrery Ticknor (1822–1874)

    Newsmen believe that news is a tacitly acknowledged fourth branch of the federal system. This is why most news about government sounds as if it were federally mandated—serious, bulky and blandly worthwhile, like a high-fiber diet set in type.
