St Albans Rural District - Parishes

Parishes

The rural district initially consisted of seven civil parishes. Three parishes were formed in 1894 by the division of the parishes of St Michael, St Peter and Sandridge between the rural district and the city of St Albans. In 1947 the number was increased to eight, with the division of the parish of St Peter Rural.
