Spyro 2: Season of Flame

Spyro 2: Season of Flame is a platform game published by Universal Interactive Studios and developed by Digital Eclipse for the Game Boy Advance. It was released in 2002 in North America and in the PAL regions. Unlike the first Spyro game on the GBA, it was not released in Japan for an unknown reason.

Spyro 2: Season of Flame is the fifth installment in the Spyro video game series and is a sequel to Spyro: Season of Ice. The game's story centers on the abduction of the Dragon Realm's fireflies at the hands of the Rhynocs, causing the dragons to lose their ability to breathe fire. The protagonist of the story, Spyro the Dragon, must recover the fireflies and uncover the culprit behind the firefly theft. The game received generally favorable reviews from critics, many of whom considered the game to be superior to Spyro: Season of Ice, though the game was criticized for its "tricky" controls.

Famous quotes containing the words season and/or flame:

Only he who has had the good fortune to read them in the nick of time, in the most perceptive and recipient season of life, can give any adequate account of them.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

It might become a wheel spoked red and white
In alternate stripes converging at a point
Of flame on the line, with a second wheel below,
Just rising, accompanying, arranged to cross,
    Through weltering illuminations, humps
Of billows, downward, toward the drift-fire shore.
    Wallace Stevens (1879–1955)
