Split (bowling) - Equivalent Splits

Equivalent Splits

Since the pins are set up as an equilateral triangle, identically spaced splits can occur on different parts of the lane. Converting them would be done in the same manner.

  • 7–9 = 8–10, 4–6
  • 5–7 = 2–6, 3–4, 4–9, 5–10, 6–8
  • 3–7 = 2–10
  • 3–10 = 2–7, 2–9, 3–8, 1–4, 1–-6 (technically the last two are not splits)
  • 2–3 = 4–5, 5–6, 7–8, 8–9, 9–10 (known as "Fit Splits")
