Venue
For reasons of security, administrative efficiency and fairness, the tribunal has its seat outside Lebanon, in Leidschendam in The Netherlands. The premises of the tribunal are the former Algemene Inlichtingen- en VeiligheidsDienst (AIVD) building. It was announced in March 2010 that the Special Court for Sierra Leone would use the same courtroom in The Hague as the STL.
