Southborough High School - Identity

Identity

Southborough is noticed throughout communities in Kingston upon Thames such as Chessington, Surbiton, Tolworth & New Malden. Some of the students travel from far distances such as Battersea & Richmond by Train, however the school does provide a minibus service which goes from Barnes to the school. The school uniform is a black blazer, black trousers, white shirt, school shoes and the school colours, Blue & Gold. The tie is blue with small golden griffins (the schools logo, the Golden Griffin) and it is centralized with a bigger golden griffin. Usually the school's students have a neat & smart uniform.

Famous quotes containing the word identity:

I look for the new Teacher that shall follow so far those shining laws that he shall see them come full circle; shall see their rounding complete grace; shall see the world to be the mirror of the soul; shall see the identity of the law of gravitation with purity of the heart; and shall show that the Ought, that Duty, is one thing with Science, with Beauty, and with Joy.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

Personal change, growth, development, identity formation—these tasks that once were thought to belong to childhood and adolescence alone now are recognized as part of adult life as well. Gone is the belief that adulthood is, or ought to be, a time of internal peace and comfort, that growing pains belong only to the young; gone the belief that these are marker events—a job, a mate, a child—through which we will pass into a life of relative ease.
    Lillian Breslow Rubin (20th century)
