Johnny Mathis Christmas Albums
In the spoken patter at the outset of the Mathis/Bette Midler duet "Winter Wonderland/Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" from Midler's 2006 holiday album "Cool Yule", Midler is heard describing Mathis as "the king of Christmas," a fitting title given his many holiday albums. To date, Mathis has recorded five original holiday albums:
| Album Title | Year |
|---|---|
| Merry Christmas | 1958 |
| Sounds of Christmas | 1963 |
| Give Me Your Love for Christmas | 1969 |
| Christmas Eve with Johnny Mathis | 1986 |
| The Christmas Album | 2002 |

Famous quotes containing the words johnny and/or christmas:
“Did Johnny look flashy?
Yes, his white-on-white shirt and tie were luminous.
His trousers were creased like knives to the tops of his shoes
And his yellow straw hat came down to his dark glasses.”
—David Wagoner (b. 1926)
“she in the kitchen
aproned young and lovely wanting my baby
and so happy about me she burns the roast beef
and comes crying to me and I get up from my big papa chair
saying Christmas teeth! Radiant brains! Apple deaf!”
—Gregory Corso (b. 1930)
