Sokratis Papastathopoulos (Greek: Σωκράτης Παπασταθόπουλος, ) (born 9 June 1988) is a Greek professional footballer who plays for Werder Bremen and the Greek national team, as a defender. Since the surname Papastathopoulos cannot fit on his club shirt, his first name Sokratis is usually displayed instead; however, a common nickname for him is Papa.
