The Socialist Party of Serbia (Serbian: Социјалистичка партија Србије / Socijalistička partija Srbije), (SPS), is a democratic socialist political party in Serbia. It is also widely recognized as a Serbian nationalist party, though the SPS itself does not officially acknowledge this. The party describes itself as centre-left, a position disputed by critics.

Famous quotes containing the words socialist and/or party:
“Men conceive themselves as morally superior to those with whom they differ in opinion. A Socialist who thinks that the opinions of Mr. Gladstone on Socialism are unsound and his own sound, is within his rights; but a Socialist who thinks that his opinions are virtuous and Mr. Gladstones vicious, violates the first rule of morals and manners in a Democratic country; namely, that you must not treat your political opponent as a moral delinquent.”
—George Bernard Shaw (18561950)
“Whether a party can have much success without a woman present I must ask others to decide, but one thing is certain, no party is any fun unless seasoned with folly.”
—Desiderius Erasmus (c. 14661536)
