So IT Goes (TV Series) - 24 Hour Party People

24 Hour Party People

In the movie 24 Hour Party People, the set of So It Goes was recreated, with Steve Coogan playing the part of Tony Wilson. Some Wilson references in the film are not historically accurate however: for example, Coogan as Wilson introduces The Sex Pistols singing Anarchy in the UK by saying it is "two minutes of the most important music since Elvis walked into The Sun Studios". In fact, Wilson's introduction to them on the actual show was that they were "one of the most reviewed and most reviled rock phenomenon of recent weeks".

Famous quotes containing the words hour, party and/or people:

When I died last, and, dear, I die
As often as from thee I go
Though it be but an hour ago,
And lovers’ hours be full eternity.
    John Donne (c. 1572–1631)

In all conversation between two persons, tacit reference is made, as to a third party, to a common nature. That third party or common nature is not social; it is impersonal; is God.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

No man tastes pleasures truly, who does not earn them by previous business; and few people do business well, who do nothing else.
Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th Earl Chesterfield (1694–1773)
