Slot Racing in The UK
The main governing body of UK slot racing is BSCRA which is responsible for the organisation of most UK slot racing events. The current chairman, elected for 1 year, is former world champion James Cleave. The assosiationn organises 3 national championships. The 1/32nd and 1/24th scale nationals plus a club team championship with production challenge. The assosiation also organises the British open championships for both scales. There are also a number of Area based competitions as well as newcomer orientated competitions to get them out of their club. However Ninco, HO and scalex racing are run by their own council and not affiliated with BSCRA. Millstream Raceway (the home of British Slot Car Club) at Ringwood is probably the UK's largest slot racing centre with 2 x 8 lane Ogilvie tracks and race exclusively 24 Scale. Millstream also host the British Wing Car Championships in association with Pinewood Raceway Wokingham.
