Controversy
Slick was arrested for a parole violation of gun possession in late 2007 and released in 2010. He was later in an altercation with Riverdale rapper Waka Flocka Flame; the crews of the two exchanged words, resulting in Waka Flocka Flame receiving a black eye. Several months later both Slick Pulla's crew and Waka Flocka's crew happened to run into each other at the Atlanta recording studio HotBeats Studios - where Slick Pulla confronted Waka Flocka and Waka said he was just "working" and avoided any further physical confrontation; which is contrary to statements Waka Flocka has since made on the national media circuit where he repeatedly alleges wanting to have a physical confrontation with Slick Pulla.
