Science Fair
An annual school science fair is held at Churchill Secondary, and twenty projects are chosen to represent the school at the Vancouver District Science Fair. Winners there move onto the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair, and then onto the Canada-Wide Science Fair. Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School has been well represented in past years, and at the CWSF2005, Churchill students set a record for all schools in Canada, taking home 18 medals under the guidance of Dr. Geoffrey Gabbott and Mr.Victor Shieh.

Famous quotes containing the words science and/or fair:
“You are bothered, I suppose, by the idea that you cant possibly believe in miracles and mysteries, and therefore cant make a good wife for Hazard. You might just as well make yourself unhappy by doubting whether you would make a good wife to me because you cant believe the first axiom in Euclid. There is no science which does not begin by requiring you to believe the incredible.”
—Henry Brooks Adams (18381918)
“All the aspects of this desert are beautiful, whether you behold it in fair weather or foul, or when the sun is just breaking out after a storm, and shining on its moist surface in the distance, it is so white, and pure, and level, and each slight inequality and track is so distinctly revealed; and when your eyes slide off this, they fall on the ocean.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
