The R.O.S.E. Mentorship Program is a national educational initiative meant to serve as a resource to young women aged 14–18. It encourages service, scholarship and personal development in order to create leaders within our communities while providing the tools necessary to succeed.

The R.O.S.E. Mentorship Program aims to:

  • Provide mentorship and programming that will aid in the academic and personal development of young Latinas.
  • Utilize SIA's network of professional Latinas to increase awareness of the Latino culture while promoting educational excellence and proactive community involvement.
  • Develop leadership qualities and abilities in young Latinas.
  • Work in conjunction with the Solidaridad Inspiración Amistad Community Foundation to establish solid partnerships that produce additional resources for young Latinas.

Famous quotes containing the words rose and/or program:

We all agree now—by “we” I mean intelligent people under sixty—that a work of art is like a rose. A rose is not beautiful because it is like something else. Neither is a work of art. Roses and works of art are beautiful in themselves. Unluckily, the matter does not end there: a rose is the visible result of an infinitude of complicated goings on in the bosom of the earth and in the air above, and similarly a work of art is the product of strange activities in the human mind.
    Clive Bell (1881–1962)

The candidate tells us we are the “backbone of the State,” and we know that it is true, not because we are possessed of certain endowed virtues, but because we are a majority and have the vote.
—Federal Writers’ Project Of The Wor, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
