Shock has received the Governor of Victoria Export Award in 1995, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004.

Shock's first #1 record was Smash by the American punk band The Offspring. Shock Records opened its first New Zealand branch in 1999 with its first release Crush by Jennifer Paige, which reached #1 with chart topping success.
