Famous quotes containing the words major and/or achievements:

“Power is not of a man. Wealth does not center in the person of the wealthy. Celebrity is not inherent in any personality. To be celebrated, to be wealthy, to have power requires access to major institutions.”
    —C. Wright Mills (1916–1962)

“There are some achievements which are never done in the presence of those who hear of them. Catching salmon is one, and working all night is another.”
    —Anthony Trollope (1815–1882)
