On July 2, 2012, Shatrughan Sinha was admitted to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Andheri due to some respiratory disorder.However he was discharged on 6th July 2012 and was reported to be hale and hearty. He was hospitalised again on 11 July 2012 as he complained of breathlessness. The veteran actor underwent a bypass heart surgery in the hospital and was likely to remain there for a week. On 20th July 2012, Sinha was moved from the ICU to a private room.
