Suicide and Lack of Motivation
With the constant fear that people with this obsession have, sometimes they feel they are unworthy of life, or feel they shouldn't accomplish anything in life. For example: a teenager with Sexual-based OCD may be good at art, but may be reluctant to draw for he believes he is unworthy of this talent. He or she may try to avoid family members and special occasions. The feeling of unworthiness of life may lead the patient to be suicidal and/or depressed.
