Severus Of Antioch
Severus, Patriarch of Antioch, (Classical Syriac: ܣܘܪܘܣ ܕܐܢܛܝܘܟܝܐ), was the last non-Chalcedonian patriarch to reside in Antioch and is considered one of the founders of the Syriac Orthodox Church. Severus is considered a Church father and a saint in Oriental Orthodoxy. He was born approximately 465 in Sozopolis in Pisidia, was by birth and education a pagan, who was baptized in the "precinct of the divine martyr Leontius" at Tripoli, Lebanon.
