Septima Poinsette Clark has wrote two biographies in her lifetime, helping reiterate her lifelong experiences. The first, written in 1962 was named Echo In My Soul and a combination of her lifelong story and her work at Highlander Folk School. It also discussed her take on the Jim Crow laws and the legitimacy of the civil rights movement. Clark's second autobiography, Ready from Within (1979) was an oral recollection of lifelong experiences.
