Ground Transport
Ahmedabad airport is located 8 km from Ahmedabad Railway station and Central Bus Stand. For the convenience of travellers, there is a prepaid taxi booth at the airport premises itself. The city centre is 15 km south-west of the airport. The Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) also runs a local bus service to the Airport. There are also plans to extend the Ahmedabad BRTS bus routes to cover the Airport. A direct metro rail linking the airport with the city centre is also being considered.

Famous quotes containing the words ground and/or transport:
“All I’m telling you is that that little creature in there has as much right to live as you do. Don’t forget, you invaded his world. You sank a pipe six miles into the ground and when he climbed up you set dogs on him, shot him.”
—Richard Fielding, and Lee Sholem. Superman (George Reeves)
“One may disavow and disclaim vices that surprise us, and whereto our passions transport us; but those which by long habits are rooted in a strong and ... powerful will are not subject to contradiction. Repentance is but a denying of our will, and an opposition of our fantasies.”
—Michel de Montaigne (1533–1592)
