Early Life
Calaway is the son of Catherine and Frank Calaway (died on July 22, 2003) and has four older brothers: David, Michael, Paul, and Timothy. His parents are of Irish and Native American descent. Calaway graduated from Waltrip High School in 1983, where he was a member of the basketball team. He also played college basketball at Texas Wesleyan University during the 1985–1986 season.
