Famous quotes containing the words samuel t, samuel and/or cohen:

    This far outstripped the other;
    Yet ever runs she with reverted face,
    And looks and listens for the boy behind:
    For he, alas! is blind!
    O’er rough and smooth with even step he passed,
    And knows not whether he be first or last.
    Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772–1834)

    Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening.
    Bible: Hebrew, 1 Samuel 3:9.

    —Leonard Cohen (b. 1934)
