Transport
The Green line of the Luas tram system terminates at the St Stephen's Green stop on the western side of the park. Though currently a terminating halt, a planned line extension would see the stop used as a connecting station between the existing Luas Green line and the planned Luas BXD line - projected to open in 2017. Other proposals considered using St Stephen's Green as a hub on projected DART Underground and Dublin Metro lines. However these plans have been indefinitely deferred.
