Sadistic Intent - Dark Realm Records and Store

Dark Realm Records and Store

Sadistic Intent is linked to the record label and record store Dark Realm Records in Downey, California, since the owners of the store, Bay Cortez and Rick Cortez, are both Sadistic Intent members. The store has been compared to the infamous black metal gathering site and record store Helvete in Norway. The record label of the same name has released Sadistic Intent's albums, as well as albums by Dark Angel, Pentacle, Witchmaster, and Draconis.

Famous quotes containing the words dark, realm, records and/or store:

Lord, I fashion dark gods, too,
    Daring even to give You
    Dark despairing features
    Countee Cullen (1903–1946)

The dissident does not operate in the realm of genuine power at all. He is not seeking power. He has no desire for office and does not gather votes. He does not attempt to charm the public, he offers nothing and promises nothing. He can offer, if anything, only his own skin—and he offers it solely because he has no other way of affirming the truth he stands for. His actions simply articulate his dignity as a citizen, regardless of the cost.
    Václav Havel (b. 1936)

Philosophy, astronomy, and politics were marked at zero, I remember. Botany variable, geology profound as regards the mud stains from any region within fifty miles of town, chemistry eccentric, anatomy unsystematic, sensational literature and crime records unique, violin player, boxer, swordsman, lawyer, and self-poisoner by cocaine and tobacco.
    Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859–1930)

Farmers in overalls and wide-brimmed straw hats lounge about the store on hot summer days, when the most common sound is the thump-thump-thump of a hound’s leg on the floor as he scratches contentedly. Oldtime hunters say that fleas are a hound’s salvation: his constant twisting and clawing in pursuit of the tormentors keeps his joints supple.
—Administration in the State of Arka, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
