- On 10 July 2002, Crossair Flight 850, operated by Saab 2000 HB-IZY made an emergency landing at Werneuchen Airfield, Germany. The aircraft was damaged beyond economic repair when it hit an earth bank placed across the runway, the markings of which did not conform to standards.
- On 16 August 2012, a group of terrorist attack Pakistan Air Force base in Kamra and their plan was to destroy SAAB 2000 planes on base. They were able to slightly damage one of them.
