School Anthem
Every year at Rugby High School the students must attend what is known as Foundation Day, a day to celebrate the school and students achievements at which GCSE certificates, A Level certificates and other general awards are given out. Every year at foundation day, the schools' anthem as well as Jerusalem is sung. The lyrics to the school anthem are as follows:
Unto thee oh lord do we give thanks Unto thee do we give thanks.
Thy name also is so nigh,
And that do thy wonderous works declare (thy works declare)
The lot is fallen unto me, in a fair ground.
Yea I have a goodly heritage, a goodly heritage.
I will go forth, go forth, in the strength of The Lord God
And will make mention of thy righteousness only (thy righteousness only)
(Choir only)
For thou O Lord, has heard my desire
And hast given an heritage unto those
That love thy name
The Lord is gracious, his mercy is everlasting
And his truth endureth from generation to generation.
(All)
Unto thee o lord do we give thanks,
Do we give thanks. Amen

Famous quotes containing the word school:
“The school system, custodian of print culture, has no place for the rugged individual. It is, indeed, the homogenizing hopper into which we toss our integral tots for processing.”
—Marshall McLuhan (19111980)
