Royal Regalia of Malaysia

The Royal Regalia of Malaysia (Malay: Alat-alat Kebesaran DiRaja Malaysia; Jawi: الت-الت كبسرن دراج مليسيا) includes all the items which are deemed sacred and symbolic of the supremacy and authority of His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong or King of Malaysia and his consort, the Raja Permaisuri Agong

The installation of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong is a very special ceremony. Only on this particular day are the masses able to see His Majesty's symbols of reign.

Several of these are now Malaysian National Treasures since 2009.

Famous quotes containing the word royal:

High on a throne of royal state, which far
Outshone the wealth of Ormus and of Ind,
Or where the gorgeous East with richest hand
Show’rs on her kings barbaric pearl and gold,
Satan exalted sat, by merit raised
To that bad eminence; and, from despair
Thus high uplifted beyond hope, aspires
Beyond thus high, insatiate to pursue
Vain war with Heav’n, and by success untaught,
    His proud imaginations
    John Milton (1608–1674)
