Research
One of the functions of the university as a whole is to place knowledge at the service of society. In this respect, the URV has a responsibility to society and takes active part in undertaking new research that may lead to a better quality of life.
This research activity is carried out by the URV’s research staff in the framework of RDI structures, research centres and institutes, the function of which is to organize basic and applied research, provide technical consultancy, drive both scientific and pedagogical renewal, and promote lifelong learning.
The leading research areas are archaeology, chemistry, tourism, oenology, energy, the environment, nutrition and health, the economy, law and education.
