Events

RSM hosts a variety of events each year for current and potential students, academics, alumni, and other internal and external participants. Some significant yearly events include:

Corporate and Alumni Events: The Corporate & Alumni Relations office presents an ongoing series of events that bring highly-placed business leaders, RSM academics, and alumni together. These events include Journeys With Erasmus, an annual Leadership Summit, Alumni Day, reunions and conferences.

Executive Education & Organisational Development Events: Executive Education & Organisational Development hosts regular events for the HR and Learning & Development Communities. These include quarterly HR Networking Events which feature industry and academic speakers on contemporary topics, an HR Summit for senior practitioners and the annual EEOD Open Day.

Academic Events: In conjunction with the Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM) RSM organises academic symposia, awards ceremonies and other events.

Career and Recruitment Events: MBA and MSc recruitment events are particularly important aspects of RSM’s programmes. Each fall includes the Annual Careers Fair for MBAs; each October STAR (Study Association Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University) organises STAR Management Week for Masters students. These events bring pre- and post-experience programme participants in touch with recruiters and corporate partners.

I WILL In October 2009, RSM created a social movement called I WILL. IWILL acts as a platform for the individuals at RSM, whether it be students, staff, faculty, alumni, or friends of the school, to share their vision for the future with the school community and even begin working towards it.

Famous quotes containing the word events:

When the world was half a thousand years younger all events had much sharper outlines than now. The distance between sadness and joy, between good and bad fortune, seemed to be much greater than for us; every experience had that degree of directness and absoluteness which joy and sadness still have in the mind of a child
    Johan Huizinga (1872–1945)

There are events which are so great that if a writer has participated in them his obligation is to write truly rather than assume the presumption of altering them with invention.
    Ernest Hemingway (1899–1961)

I have no time to read newspapers. If you chance to live and move and have your being in that thin stratum in which the events which make the news transpire—thinner than the paper on which it is printed—then these things will fill the world for you; but if you soar above or dive below that plane, you cannot remember nor be reminded of them.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
