Rothes F.C. are a senior football club who play in the Highland Football League.
They were founded in 1938 and play their football at Mackessack Park in Rothes, a small town near Elgin in North East Scotland. They play in tangerine and black strips, colours that they inherited from Dundee United after purchasing the floodlights from Tannadice Park. Rothes also have the most colourful support in the league, with Club 59.
Their current manager is Graham McBeath, who returned to the club during the 2009-10 season for his second spell as manager, replacing previous boss Donnie Mackay. McBeath steered Rothes to the Highland League Cup final in 2010 at a time when they were bottom of the Highland League. Rothes have won the Highland League once in the 1958-59 season.
Star players include Michael McKinnon, Sean McKinstry, Micheal Fletcher and Scott Robison who are all Aberdeen based. McKinnon a man utterly ruthless in front of the goal. Mckinstry and Robison play in the engine room together whilst Fletcher is the goal scorer for the side. All four stars are tipped for the top.
