The Rosy Starling (Sturnus roseus) is a passerine bird in the starling family Sturnidae, also known as the Rose-coloured Starling or Rose-coloured Pastor. It is sometimes given its own, monotypic genus Pastor. This split is supported by recent studies, though its closest living relatives are still not certainly known.

Famous quotes containing the word rosy:
“It was a quiet Sunday morning, with more of the auroral rosy and white than of the yellow light in it, as if it dated from earlier than the fall of man, and still preserved a heathenish integrity.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
