Rose Mofford - After Office

After Office

Since leaving office, Mofford has dedicated her time to civic and charitable activities. In 1997, a scholarship fund was established in her name. A member of the Arizona Softball Hall of Fame, she has municipal softball fields named in her honor in both Butler and Phoenix.

Mofford served as chair of the campaign committee of Attorney General Terry Goddard's 2010 election bid for Governor of Arizona.

Famous quotes containing the word office:

He [Robert Benchley] and I had an office so tiny that an inch smaller and it would have been adultery.
    Dorothy Parker (1893–1967)

The dissident does not operate in the realm of genuine power at all. He is not seeking power. He has no desire for office and does not gather votes. He does not attempt to charm the public, he offers nothing and promises nothing. He can offer, if anything, only his own skin—and he offers it solely because he has no other way of affirming the truth he stands for. His actions simply articulate his dignity as a citizen, regardless of the cost.
    Václav Havel (b. 1936)
