Rockwood / East 188th Avenue

The Rockwood/East 188th Avenue station is a MAX light rail station in Gresham, Oregon. It serves the Blue Line and is the 22nd stop eastbound on the current Eastside MAX branch. (It was the 20th on the original line in 1986)

The station is at the intersection of East 188th Avenue and Burnside Street, within the Rockwood neighborhood. Until 2010, this station had staggered side platforms; the Westbound platform has temporarily merged with the Eastbound while major renovations to the former take place. The new platform, which will have modern fixtures, improved security features, and 58-foot high artwork, will serve both East and Westbound trains. It opened in May 2011.

Famous quotes containing the words east and/or avenue:

Everybody ought to have a lower East Side in their life.
    Irving Berlin (1888–1989)

Only in America ... do these peasants, our mothers, get their hair dyed platinum at the age of sixty, and walk up and down Collins Avenue in Florida in pedalpushers and mink stoles—and with opinions on every subject under the sun. It isn’t their fault they were given a gift like speech—look, if cows could talk, they would say things just as idiotic.
    Philip Roth (b. 1933)
