Rocket Science (band)

Rocket Science (band)

Rocket Science is an Australian alternative rock band that first came to public attention on national youth radio network Triple J around 2000.

Jim Diamond, of Ghetto Recorders, produced the band's third recording, Eternal Holiday. Shortly before the release of the album, singer Roman Tucker suffered a serious injury and fell into a coma for around two weeks. This forced the band into inaction for an extended period of time.

According to Rocket Science's MySpace page, the band's 2008 album Different Like You was self-funded. This album was not heard much on Triple J.

Kit Warhurst is the brother of radio presenter and Spicks and Specks panelist Myf Warhurst.

Famous quotes containing the words rocket and/or science:

Along a parabola life like a rocket flies,
Mainly in darkness, now and then on a rainbow.
    Andrei Voznesensky (b. 1933)

“You are bothered, I suppose, by the idea that you can’t possibly believe in miracles and mysteries, and therefore can’t make a good wife for Hazard. You might just as well make yourself unhappy by doubting whether you would make a good wife to me because you can’t believe the first axiom in Euclid. There is no science which does not begin by requiring you to believe the incredible.”
    Henry Brooks Adams (1838–1918)
