Selection Process
From 2003-2010, inductees to the Robot Hall of Fame were chosen by a panel of jurists, which have included science fiction author Arthur C. Clarke, SimCity creator Will Wright, and C-3PO actor Anthony Daniels.
In 2012, The Robot Hall of Fame opened voting to the public for the first time.
The public ballot listed the top three robots in each of the four competition categories nominated by a group of 107 robotics experts.

Famous quotes containing the words selection and/or process:
“Every writer is necessarily a critic—that is, each sentence is a skeleton accompanied by enormous activity of rejection; and each selection is governed by general principles concerning truth, force, beauty, and so on.... The critic that is in every fabulist is like the iceberg—nine-tenths of him is under water.”
—Thornton Wilder (1897–1975)
“My advice to people today is as follows: If you take the game of life seriously, if you take your nervous system seriously, if you take your sense organs seriously, if you take the energy process seriously, you must turn on, tune in, and drop out.”
—Timothy Leary (b. 1920)
