Guests included Andrew Bacevich, Sherrod Brown, Noam Chomsky, Jeff Cohen, Michael Copps, Barbara Ehrenreich, Robert Fisk, Amy Goodman, Juan Gonzalez, Glenn Greenwald, Chris Hedges, Seymour Hersh, Janine Jackson, the late Chalmers Johnson, Naomi Klein, Paul Krugman, Michael Moore, Bill Moyers, Ralph Nader, Robert Reich, Tim Robbins, Matt Rothschild, Bernie Sanders, Norman Solomon, Joseph Stiglitz, Matt Taibbi, Katrina vanden Heuvel, the late Gore Vidal, and the late Howard Zinn.

Famous quotes containing the words radio programs, radio and/or programs:

England has the most sordid literary scene I’ve ever seen. They all meet in the same pub. This guy’s writing a foreword for this person. They all have to give radio programs, they have to do all this just in order to scrape by. They’re all scratching each other’s backs.
    William Burroughs (b. 1914)

... the ... radio station played a Chopin polonaise. On all the following days news bulletins were prefaced by Chopin—preludes, etudes, waltzes, mazurkas. The war became for me a victory, known in advance, Chopin over Hitler.
    Margaret Anderson (1886–1973)

There is a delicate balance of putting yourself last and not being a doormat and thinking of yourself first and not coming off as selfish, arrogant, or bossy. We spend the majority of our lives attempting to perfect this balance. When we are successful, we have many close, healthy relationships. When we are unsuccessful, we suffer the natural consequences of damaged and sometimes broken relationships. Children are just beginning their journey on this important life lesson.
