Robert Monro

Robert Monro (died 1680), was a famous Scottish General, from the Clan Munro of Ross-shire, Scotland. He was the author of a diary recounting his military experiences, published as Monro, His Expedition With the Worthy Scots Regiment Called Mac-Keys. It is one of the first military histories ever published, certainly the first in the English language.
