Scottish Ghost Story

Lilburne was granted some lands of the Duke of Hamilton in Scotland in 1655. There is a traditional story that the ghost of his wife "Lady Alice" haunts one of the Duke's houses, Kinneil House, although evidence that Lilburne was ever married to an Alice appears to be lacking.
