Exhibitions
In 1962, Eleanor Ward's Stable Gallery hosted Robert Indiana's first New York solo exhibition. He has since enjoyed solo exhibitions at over 30 museums and galleries worldwide. The only retrospective of his work was in 1999 at the Portland Museum of Art in Maine, covering 40 years of his work, from 1958 to 1998.
