Robert Earl Keen (born January 11, 1956) is an American country music and folk guitarist and singer-songwriter from the state of Texas. He is popular with fans of various musical genres including traditional country, alternative country, folk, Americana, and college radio. Keen and his family currently reside in Kerrville, Texas, and also enjoys his ranch located in Medina, Texas. Most of his greatest songs were written at his scriptorium at his ranch. The scriptorium was recently profiled in Texas Monthly article.
